Dr. Chen Chien-Ming was born in 1966 in Kaohsiung, Taiwan. He received his BS degree in physics from Chung Yuan Christian University, and received his M. S. degree from the Institute of Electro-Optical Engineering of the National Chiao Tung University in 1990. He received the Ph.D in Precision Machinery Engineering from University of Tokyo in 1999(1995-1999). He joined the department of Electro-Optical engineering, National Taipei University of Technology in 2002. His research is included Nano-photonics, Biomedical Optics, and Precision Measurement.

Research Area

  • Near-field optic: near-field optical fiber probe, near-field scattering.
  • Biophotonics: nano scale Laser Capture Microdissection, three-dimensional blood cell velocity measurement module.
  • Ultra precision measurement: nano scale semiconductor characterization, probe examination, aspherical lens examination.
  • Application of fluorescence: Quantification of fluorescence intensity, fluorescence labeling of tissue. Emitting light source.
  • Nanoparticles enhancement technology light and physical disabled auxiliary: computer, communication and consumer equipment.
